Ingredients

Equipment

  • Glass beakers

  • Scales

  • Spoon

  • Baine -Marie

  • Thermometer

  • Glass jar

Heated Stage

  • 15g Shea butter

  • 15g Cocoa butter

  • 5g Beeswax

Cool down stage

  • 5g Argan Oil

  • 10g Olive Oil

  • 15g Jojoba Oil

  • 0.5g Frankincense Essential Oil

  • 0.5g Lavender Essential Oil

  • 1g Vitamin E oil

Instructions

Step 1: Melt the Butters & Wax

Grab a heatproof glass bowl and add your shea butter, avocado butter, and candelilla wax. Place the bowl over a double boiler (a heat-safe bowl over a pot with simmering water). Make sure the water doesn’t touch the bowl—this keeps the heat gentle and prevents overheating.

Stir occasionally with a spatula or wooden spoon until everything is fully melted. This might take about 5-10 minutes.

Step 2: Add the liquid Oils

Once the butters and wax are completely melted, remove the bowl from heat. Stir in the jojoba oil and olive oil while the mixture is still warm. This helps everything blend together smoothly

Step 3: Cool and Add the Extras

Let the mixture cool slightly—but don’t wait too long! You want it to be warm enough to mix easily but not so hot that it destroys the delicate properties of your essential oils and Vitamin E.

Now, add in your Vitamin E oil and, if you’re using them, your essential oils Frankincense and Lavender. Stir gently to distribute the ingredients evenly.

Step 4: Pour and Let It Set

Immediately pour the mixture into a clean airtight tin or glass jar. Let it cool at room temperature until it firms up. If you're in a hurry, you can pop it in the freezer for about 30 minutes to speed up the process. I find putting it in the freezer creates a smoother balm and prevents graininess.

Step 4: Ready to Use!

Once solid, your multi-purpose balm is ready to go! Scoop out a little bit and massage it into dry areas like hands, elbows, lips, heels, and cuticles. This balm melts into the skin and absorbs beautifully—no greasy residue!

Storage Tip:

Keep your balm in a cool, dry place to prevent melting in warm temperatures. It should last 6-12 months thanks to the antioxidant-rich ingredients. Now you have a rich, all-natural balm for intense moisture and skin nourishment.
